Carrot pound cake

Carrot pound cake: the recipe for an easy and fragrant dessert








It's so fluffy and fragrant, with a creamy frosting  This carrot cake is out of this world:


Ingredients: 

 

- For the batter:

  • 6 eggs 
  • 360 g of brown sugar 
  • 350 ml of sunflower oil 
  • 350 g of flour 
  • 1 and a half tsp of baking powder 
  • 1 tsp of nutmeg 
  • 1/2 tsp of cinnamon   
  • 300 g of grated carrots 

 

- For the cream: 

  • 80 g of butter (at room temperature)
  • 100 g of powdered sugar 
  • 200 g of cream cheese
  • 1 vanillin
  • Chopped walnuts

 




Directions:

1. Mix brown sugar, eggs and oil. 

2. Then add flour, baking powder, cinnamon and nutmeg to the batter. 

3. Lastly add grated carrots. 

4. Pour the batter into a buttered mold. 

5. Bake at 160° for 1 hour and 10 minutes. 

6. Let the cake cool completely. 

7. Meanwhile make the cream by mixing butter, sugar, vanillin and cream cheese. 

8. Use this mixture to coat the cake. 

9. Decorate with chopped walnuts on top.
